Bike Ride to Cuastocomates

This morning, I hightail it after my neighbor who I learn has left on foot for the nearby beach town of Cuastocomates.  I am out of the door and ride like the el diablo to see if I can find my neighbor and her brother on the way. I do not, but what a great effort-full ride! I have to get off and push my bike, who I have nicknamed Melaque, for part of the distance. A good workout. I remember the wild rides in Costa Rica about a year ago.

I have only had time to ask a Mexican man to take the above photo - we joke about age - and my neighbors walk by. I join their group for breakfast, but since I have just eaten, I have my first Nescafe coffee. Me, who searches intently for the perfect espresso, has my first Nescafe instant coffee, since just over a year ago in Tanzania. It is good.

An drawing discussion with Dijie in the afternoon, and then a chat in Spanish with Carlos as he installs a balcony lamp. We attend the weekly culture lecture, and  to try a new restaurant for us where we each eat a shrimp stuffed baked potato (papa). Sigh of pleasure. What a great day. Yes, it is overcast again, but it is warm and it is humid and I have been physically active. So, por supuesto! a good day.
