A Rather Perfect Day
Today, I walk to Barra, have a 15-minute conversation in Spanish with a store owner, Theresa, who has her shop during the peak season for tourists - 4 months- and is working now to help put her daughter through university. The daughter is studying accounting. Theresa does her own work with wool on a loom, and sells many other objects. She is cheerful and friendly and the visit is delightful.

On my walk to Barra I come a many starfish who have been washed up by the sea. They are no longer living and grace the beach with their bright orange color.

The sun is out, a hot day, but on the beach the wind is cool and lovely on the skin. I swim and sit and read with a tonic water in the late afternoon hours. I am for some moments completely content. 100%.
